Kitted App

I wanted to be able to share my modelling progress with my father.  We live a considerable distance apart, so an electronic means to share progress and finished models seemed most appropriate.  A critical requirement was that the chosen method needed to be simple and easy to use - both for me and for my father.  The immediately obvious options were email and/or text messages, or a public modelling forum.  Email and messaging were clunky, as they took too much effort to transfer pictures.  I certainly wasn't ready to publicly post my work on a modelling forum.  So I was at an impasse.

One day I noticed an ad for an iOS app called Kitted.  It seemed to fit the bill, allowing me to document a build using photos and text.  Importantly, it included a sharing function.  I successfully used the app for several years but eventually became frustrated with the lack of updates and the limited sharing options.  My biggest concern was that the app trapped all the photos to a single iPad, with no way to transfer them to another device.  Concerned that a device failure or iOS update I could cost me all the photos, I began the painstaking process of transferring the info one photo at a time.

These pages show completed builds that were originally documented using the Kitted app.  I will work, likely slowly, to transfer the 20 documented builds over to these pages.
