I have been modelling - planes, trains and some cars - for years. Primarily Canadian content, reflecting items originally designed and built in Canada, or that were used by Canadian operators.

For the planes, my goal is to build an example of all aircraft built in Canada. A parallel desire is to build an example of all aircraft used by the Royal Canadian Air Force. Canadian aircraft have been esoteric at best, and almost always low volume production, making it difficult to find examples of many aircraft. With patience, I have been able to collect kits to represent a majority of these two streams.

While I think of myself as a model builder, my "stash" has grown much faster than my building capacity, resulting in an impressive backlog. The intent is to build them all, and that is going to create a problem. I have far more models waiting to be built than display space. Worse, I am getting close to a tipping point where new builds will have to start displacing old builds. I don't consider myself sentimental, but a lot of time and effort has gone into each model, and I want to have some way to capture that. I have tried a number of ways to create a log for each build, with mixed success. Online forums are a possibility, allowing easy sharing, but that isn't always the easiest way to catalogue a collection. the same is true of Facebook. I have also tried a number of modelling apps with mixed success. The biggest failing there is these apps tend to be locked onto a single device, and typically don't support easy sharing. So the time seems ripe to try a blog.

Welcome to anyone that finds my site. I don't build very fast, so don't expect much progress. Questions and comments are welcome but please keep them civil.
