Hawker Typhoon
The Typhoon is finished.
It took three tries to achieve the desired final "shine". The plane was the personal aircraft of Wing Commander Robert Davidson. At a minimum, the plane would have been relatively clean. Several references suggested the aircraft was waxed. A photo I found certainly suggested it had some shine. Alclad Light Sheen was too shiny. A second attempt using Alclad Semi Matte was still too shiny. The third try used Testors Dullcote, diluted about 10:1 thinner to paint, and got the desired effect. All the little bits and pieces were added and it is finished. Enjoy the pictures

RCAF Jeep
The kit is relatively simple and construction had progressed quickly. The jeep and trailer have received the first paint, Tamiya olive drab. It doesn't seem too bad in the picture, but in person, it seems too dark. I think it would look better if it was repainted with a lighter colour.

RCAF Dakota
The interior sections are in the process of being painted interior green and neutral grey. A wash had been applied to highlight the details.
Photos 1&2 - the floor section. wash applied and was cleaned up
Photos 3&4 - the port side fuselage. Wash applied and was cleaned up
The wash is perhaps a little too heavy, but I am leaning towards having all the doors closed. It should look fine when viewed thru the small fuselage windows.
Time to go shovel snow. Wishing everyone a safe week.
