Argus - decals complete

paddleriver

The lightening stripe repairs are complete. The saving grace was some leftover black decal stripes, the stripes, left from the recently completed Avro C102 Jetliner, perfectly matched the kit black border. After a lot of careful measurements, and some carefully applied paint, the stripes looked okay. Overall, I am happy with the results.

With the repairs behind me, it was time to finish the rest of the decals. They went on without incident, though a little thick. The decals used a water based ink, and weren’t sealed, as I found out the hard way on a test piece. I used a couple coats of Testors gloss, and then a layer of Micro decal saver. A belt and braces approach that left the

decals a little thick but safely on the plane. Just need a couple applications of Microsol and it will be time for a gloss coat to seal the decals.

Next up are the landing gear, wheels and props.
