These posts seem to start with a comment on weather, so let’s continue the trend. After several wonderful spring like days, we got rain and then snow Saturday night. Sunday morning had a fresh blanket of wet snow, with the promise of unsettled weather this week. A great day to spend some time at the workbench. This year’s turnaround starts on Thursday, so there may not be a lot of posts over the next 2 months.
Avenger
Repair of the wingtip nav light is complete. The remaining bits and pieces have been added, and the kit is now finished. I pulled out a 1/48 Noy’s Miniatures background for some of the pictures.
CRJ200
The CRJ progressed thru painting. The model has been primed, minor repairs made, reprimed, and then the final white coat. I was ready to start decals when I realized that the leading edges were supposed to be silver. A ton of masking later, 2 minutes of painting, and the silver was complete. Now the model is ready for decals.
CL-44
No physical progress on the CL-44. I have done some additional research in an effort to figure out the engine/main gear areas. The kit has no positive location for either the gear bay or the rear of the engine nacelle. The fit of both parts is awful, and will require a lot of filling. I think I have finally figured out where the gear bay is supposed to sit. I will get back to it once the CRJ decals are done.
